IS A DOER WHO LIKES TO BE.

Real

Perception is Reality.

We don't see the world, we perceive it. Even those of us that don't like to judge books by their covers find ourselves doing it none the less. This fascinating film reveals the preconceptions that even the best photographers can't help bring to their work, whether they realise it or not. How do you really see people?

A photograph is shaped more by the person behind the camera than by what's in front of it. To prove this we invited six photographers to a portrait session with a twist. 'Decoy' is one of six experiments from The Lab, designed to shift creative thinking behind the lens.

And this TED talk by Beau Lotto gives us some practical exercises that reveal just how our brain works. What does the real world, really mean?

Beau Lotto's colour games puzzle your vision, but they also spotlight what you can't normally see: how your brain works. This fun, first-hand look at your own versatile sense of sight reveals how evolution tints your perception of what's really out there.
